The hotel itself was really nice and very clean, and overall it was a quiet and comfortable place. Unfortunately, the AC wasn’t working as well as we would have liked, so the room stayed pretty warm throughout the night. The bedsheets were also extremely loud and made a lot of noise with any movement. In general, everything in the room seemed to be louder than expected, even though the hotel itself was very quiet. Aside from those issues, we enjoyed our stay and thought the hotel was clean and nicely maintained.
This place was really nice. We had our own balcony, access to a washer and dryer, and the room was fully furnished, including pots, pans, silverware, toaster, coffee pot, stove, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, etc. It was everything we needed to get away from home and yet still feel comfortable and relaxed. The pool was great and we had easy access to hiking areas. Just wish the room had a map of all hiking trails so we didn't have to go find them ourselves, but that's a minor issue. Sundial Lodge is a short drive to town, shopping centers, attractions, and other fun activities. Great place to stay.
I was in town for major dental surgery/recovery with a local specialist in Park City. Our first condo was in the process of having the exterior remodeled and we were prevented from opening the windows/patio door. Additionally the condo was heavily scented, which is a huge problem for me. Fortunately, the management was quick to act and got us a new condo on the other side of the building where there were less repairs going on. It was the "slow season" so there was a lot of remodeling happening. Fortunately for me, the day of my surgery, things were fairly quiet. The room was well equipped with extra pillows/blankets for the pullout couch so I was able to prop myself up into a pseudo sitting position to sleep for the week. This was an unexpected perk. (I had brought extra pillowcases in case I had to purchase pillows.) The jetted tub was awesome. The oven and full fridge/freezer made it so we could cook soft foods for me and I had plenty of ice packs (that I brought with me). There is an ice machine on a different floor. It was also helpful to have a washer dryer and I had brought laundry sheets with me. :) There are multiple pool options and they are nice and warm. Plus a hot tub. The person at the front desk not associated with the VRBO was very helpful with information. There were unexpected fees, which disappointed me. We had to pay a daily rate for parking and was quoted $25-$35/night so plan on that. Also, when I was looking for the weekly rate it clearly stated "no hidden fees." My bill for no hidden fees was parking plus an additional $80 for our 5 nights. That being said, we received good service from the management company on the phone. The condo met our needs for my recovery because the construction was limited to certain hours. There weren't a lot of people staying in the condos while we were there so they were quiet, barring the construction noise. I was so glad they easily changed our room. Had I been stuck with condo #1, this would be a VERY different review.
We had a wonderful time at Sundial Lodge! We stayed in room 303b and it was fantastic for ski in/ski out. It had a great view of the village, mountain and gondola. The room was quiet, comfortable and furnished with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It's a huge bonus to be able to leave our skis in the valet room they have in the lobby. we loved Park City and Sundial. I'm sure we will be back.
